Staying in the historic centre
If you would like to experience Bruges fully on foot, staying in or near the centre is the most atmospheric option. It makes the city easy to enjoy and can simplify movement between the different moments of the wedding day.
Staying a little outside the centre
If you prefer more space, quieter surroundings, or easier parking, accommodation just outside the old centre may be a very good fit. Bruges remains compact enough that this can still be very convenient.
When to book
September is a lovely time in Bruges, and it is wise to book early if you already know you will stay overnight. That is especially true if you hope to stay close to the centre or if you are travelling as a family.
